I would love to see him win in the 2010 El Tour de France!

That would be great, but it’s probably a younger man’s race this year.

From what I saw last year I feel that he as a great shot at winning the Tour this coming year. The key to his success will be in his conditioning and the strength and support of his team. He was very strong last year in the Tour, with a year under his belt he will be even stronger this year. I am truly impressed by him, what he has done and what he stands for. All the way Lance and continue to live strong. Cheers……..

I am completely convinced he is capable of winning in 2010. He proved in 2009 that he lost very little during his absence. I look forward to seeing him compete with a team where there is no indecision as to who the leader is. This will only work to his advantage.

As one of Lance’s strongest supporters and a lifelong fan, I have nothing but confidence in my boy. As much as he is determined to make this comeback, after all he has gone through, both for himself, and for fighting the cancer battle for all of us, there goes without any explanation, any doubt, Sir Lance will most definitely win this Tour, this man is a freak of an athlete, and he will do whatever it takes to dismantle the opposition. He has gone to war for all of us, and he will go to war in FRANCE. LIVESTRONG!!
December 14th, 2009 at 11:13 am
Don’t know if he will be able to pull it off, but there is no one out there with more drive and determination than Lance. His new slogan should be “InspirationStrong.” Having him in Tucson was great and he was gracious to take pictures with us when we caught the team on the road. The team is loaded with talent. They just need a crash free year and they can really make an impact in every race they are in.
December 14th, 2009 at 11:14 am
I know he’s going to race Le Tour in 2010, but I don’t see him winning.
December 14th, 2009 at 11:26 am
Lance is the man. I would love to see him kick some butt in 2010
December 14th, 2009 at 11:27 am
Don’t bet against a guy who has won it. Particularly one who has won it 7 times
December 14th, 2009 at 11:28 am
Lance definitely has a great shot at winning. He’ll be a year stronger with an awesome team working for him all the way. It’s going to be close with Contador, Schlek, and maybe Leipheimer, Kloden, Evans and Wiggins all in the mix. I say Lance can do it!
December 14th, 2009 at 11:33 am
For Lance to get third in ’09 after 3 years in reteirment, I can only imagine how exciting the 2010 Tour is going to be. He showed that he can still hang with the young guys. I’m confident that with the amazing team and support he has, a win this coming El Tour de France is a shoo-in for him. We’ve watched him win a world championship, 7 Tour de Frances, Leadville, and conquer cancer. He has constantly shown us that we can do whatever we want and I look up to the man for that. I also love how he has taken cancer to the global platform. My mother is a breast cancer survivor and my father is currently batteling prostate cancer. Lance and LiveStrong give me hope that one day there will be a cure, and that there will always be people who care and are there to support others. Even if Lance doesn’t win, him just coming back to ride for cancer is a victory in my book. Plus, a win would give me some good motivation for my first season of racing colegiate road in 2010. Allez Lance!

And I posted this on Facebook so all my cycling pals from the UofA can have a chance!
I’d also like to express my disapointment at Border’s during Lance’s book signing. I came back to Tucson from NAU early to get a signed copy of Comeback 2.0 from my hero and to shake the man’s hand, and Border’s sold out of the book. This wouldn’t bother me so much except for the fact that they were letting people buy as many copies of the book as they wanted. I saw some people who had 6 or 7 copies! I understand how much of a great Christmas present this would be for someone in your family or a cancer survivor, but there were other people there too. Plus Border’s made it a requirement that you buy the book from them to get it signed. I would think Lance would want to sell as many copies of the book and raise as much money for LiveStrong as possible. I mean, there was a RadioShack in the mall selling the book and everything! But I do see how Lance can’t spend all day doing book signings. Anyways, I look forward to next year and Lance maybe racing. He hinted that they’ll (RadioShack) will be back next year for the first trainig camp! Can’t wait for another chance to ride with the 8x winner of the Tour de France!!!

Sorry that happen to you. Other than that I thought it was pretty well organized.
January 10th, 2010 at 7:39 pm
Sold out? Sheesh, what do you expect brandon!
Isn’t that the goal of any bookstore, or any store for that matter – to sell out out of their product?
Sure, I could see them putting a limit on how many any one customer cuold buy, but its not Borders fault, good grief. It probably blew them away they sold out, obviously they would have ordered more, but maybe they acquired all the publisher made available to them, who knows?
And of course Radio Shack thought they’d capitalize on the fact that he was there – pretty smart of them to do that, and i imagine other stores had some copies too.
Anyway, as far as requiring you to buy it there for lance to sign it, what would you expect? They paid lance to attend, so of course their own customers purchases is what ultimately paid lance, its their right to do so. So honestly, you’re wrong for griping at them about it.
December 22nd, 2009 at 3:33 pm
Hey Brandon,
You are the winner of the book. Are you in Tucson? How can I get it to you?
January 10th, 2010 at 7:42 pm
What a lucky dog!
Congratulations, i’m a gonna come up w/ a hard luck rant next time & maybe I’ll win, lol!
December 14th, 2009 at 11:39 am
Yes he can win. I’m 61 and still in my prime.
December 14th, 2009 at 11:57 am
Lance is absolutely going win the Tour De France this year and more than likely the following year! Lance has been riding and training hard, he could have won last year except for his team. He will take it in the Alps as he has done in the past
December 14th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
Of course he can win!
December 14th, 2009 at 12:15 pm
I don’t think Lance himself will win, though it would be nice, but the team will! Got to get Contador this time!
December 14th, 2009 at 12:18 pm
I think with hard training, courage, and tenacity Lance will go all the way to break records….Again
December 14th, 2009 at 12:50 pm
Lance and I first raced against each other, when I was 17 on The Presidents Triathlon. When he got on his bike it was something out of the cartoons. He stretched out and then rocketed away. An amazing performance. I believe Lance and Team Shack will deliver the most exciting TDF that we have seen in the last 10 plus years and he will be on the podium in first place. May the wind be at your back and Murphy take the 3 weeks of the TDF off.
December 14th, 2009 at 12:53 pm
Oh happy day if he wins! But I do believe in many happy days of watching Lance be the key player on the Shack team and do his thing to make it THE team of 2010 during the Tour.
Posting to FB…
December 14th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
I wouldn’t count Lance out. The courage and tenacity required to beat cancer make winning the TdF against younger riders seem trivial. More importantly, I love to see the excitement and attention he continues to bring to cycling and the fight against cancer.
Re-posted this on facebook.

Lance has the physical abilities to win again IF the team is not only strong but dedicated to riding for Lance (no more planning certain stages for different riders!) It may not be about the bike, but it’s *GOT* to be about Lance.
December 14th, 2009 at 1:46 pm
Sure he can win,but wearing the yellow isn’t the only win.
Cheers.

good point!
December 14th, 2009 at 2:10 pm
Watching Lance race when he was a teenage triathlete, then on to pro cycling was one thing. Seeing him race at this level at the age of 38 is fantastic! He is proving that age does not need to be a limiting factor in athletics or in leading an active lifestyle. Go Lance!
December 14th, 2009 at 3:33 pm
As we saw last year, simply Lance’s presence changes the dynamic of the race. He’ll be on the podium again…
December 14th, 2009 at 3:39 pm
With Lance, anything is possible and he’ll have more gas in the tank with a year of competition behind him and no Giro d’Italia to recover from. Go Lance!
December 14th, 2009 at 3:49 pm
2010 is the come back year for the “seasoned” guys, Brett Farve winning the Super Bowl again with a different Team and Lance Armstrong winning the Tour de France again with a different Team. Lance combines multi-discipline into his training regime giving him an edge over younger cyclists much like the football player who takes ballet. Lance will go the distance with discipline and determination. I have no doubt that July 25, 2010 will find Lance Armstrong standing on the top Podium in Paris holding his new son Max.
December 14th, 2009 at 4:43 pm
Like what some people said, “Some cyclists get faster as they age” and Lance is definitely one of them. With his experience and dedication as one of the top cyclist in the world, I don’t see why he’s not going to be standing on the top of the podium in 2010.
December 14th, 2009 at 6:10 pm
A natural winner. Very hard to win TdF on the first year of comeback. However, very much possible on the 2nd year especially with a cohesive team.
December 14th, 2009 at 6:10 pm
I am a big Armstrong fan! I saw his comeback trail starting in San Diego and he is a true inspiration and joy to watch. He proves that with dedication and desire you can achieve your goals!
December 14th, 2009 at 7:49 pm
I have no doubt Lance can pull off the biggest comeback win in sports history.
This year was a test of the water, and 2010 will be GO TIME for lance and The Shack team!
He looks focused and ready to hand out some true, traditional Lance whip ass!
Viva le Lance
December 14th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
He could own 2010 if he tried.
December 14th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
or wanted to anyway
December 15th, 2009 at 12:21 am
I absolutely think he can win. With a full year of preparation, and a team working for him as the leader, he can definitely improve on last year’s third-place finish. His experience and his mental toughness will be his edge.
December 15th, 2009 at 12:29 am
I forgot to put on my earlier post I think we will win the TDF 2010 if he competes.

Lance isn’t as good as he once was nor do I like him as much anymore. He could win second place in the 2010 TdF if he tried. He should now that he’s won 1st place so many times and 3rd place once. He shouldn’t have returned from retirement about 4 years after he entered it. He should have done it earlier when he was better than he has been this past season.
December 15th, 2009 at 3:42 am
Lance captivates the cycling world as Tiger does the golfing scene. And both are polarizing; fans either gravitate around or repel away from his presence. His contributions to cycling are immense. I’d love to see him win another TdF or for someone on his team win.
December 15th, 2009 at 4:36 pm
He will definitely make it exciting this year. The TRS team is going to be very strong this year – much stronger than Astana.
December 15th, 2009 at 5:05 pm
I believe he will win. The man returned from retirement after 3 years out of competitive cycling, broke his collar and still placed 3rd. Everyone knows it takes a year to condition your body for something like that. He will stomp the competition.
December 15th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
At least Lance will give it a hell of a shot. Not bad for an old man!
December 15th, 2009 at 5:38 pm
Lance’s comeback has reinvigorated the cycling world. More spectators are coming to the races and enjoying cycling. There is lots of yellow chalk on the road….The main reason Lance came back was to bring cancer awareness to the forefront.
December 15th, 2009 at 7:34 pm
It’s been a spectacular comeback so far, let’s see how he starts the season off at the Tour Down Under!
December 16th, 2009 at 2:43 am
Lost my connection last night! Hope LA doesn’t lose his! He has built an excellent team around himself, which should give him every opportunity. He also has the added benefit of having trained now with @fatcyclist, so he knows how the real pro’s do it!
Personally, he has already won just by creating such a global awarenes of cancer issues! And the crowds that were attracted to Adelaide to see him in the TDU were amazing. Here’s hoping he pulls them all in again in January!
December 17th, 2009 at 9:23 pm
He has a great chance of winning with his new team.
December 21st, 2009 at 8:06 pm
I’m not sure if he’d win or not, but he’d certainly beat me in any race!
