The "two abreast" law is one of many that tucson cyclists fail to obey on a daily basis. As I drive around tucsons east side I see cyclists failing to stop for stop signs, impeding the flow of traffic( causing 5 or more vehicles to travel below the posted speed limit), following to close (tailgating) , failing to use the bike lane where provided (riding four abreast and failing to use front and rear lights after dark (because of the extra weight). The belief that these laws don't apply to cyclists is why so many people in tucson hate you. I guess my question to the tucson cycling world is, when did you change from athletes to a biker gang!

Hey Cop. Come to DC and try that stunt.

This cop is just another powerless pawn who tries to act big and show his tuff-guy attitude and his super cop mentality. Here's a person of the "law" who used his 2000 lb cruiser to intimidate and physically injure innocent cyclists.

Guess why we don't trust the police anymore?

I also like bike riding but it is very risky to this type of racing. So I never tried to join this type of race but I think now I can join after reading this type of adventures experiences.

While I agree that there are cyclists that either don't know or don't care about the laws, I am worried that you say you are aggravated when they get in your way. As a cyclist, you of all people should be aware of how dangerous a frustrated driver can be around cyclists. If I get in your way, what's the worst that happens? You might be a minute late to whatever really important place you're going or you can do sometyhing stupid and I get injured or killed. I simply don't understand how people can justify putting someone's life at risk because they may have inconvienced you for a moment. Self-importance is a major part of what has destroyed the foundation of this country. Everyone thinks they are so entitled. If we all had a little more respect for each other we wouldn't have to discuss who was at fault in the first place.
