Road Rash and Cycling Crash Kit

There is a category added called Road Rash/Crashes. This category is dedicated to road rash, cycling crashes, or anything that goes wrong when it is just you and the bike.

Email us your best pictures and stories of asphalt pounding failure on two wheels. If we use your story on Ride-Strong.com, for your pain we will send you a FREE t-shirt.

Email us at:  info @ ride-strong dot com.

Pictured above is the basic road rash kit to heal your wounds.

  1. Beer to slam before washing out your wounds
  2. Vemma to drink to fight free radicals and inflammation
  3. Wound Wash Saline to remove bacteria and debris
  4. Gauze pads to clean up the mess
  5. Neosporin + pain relief to stop infection
  6. Dressing sponges to cover up the mess
  7. Ibuprofen to stop the pain
  8. M&M’s to eat as you lick your wounds on the couch while watching TV

The story below needed more than a road rash kit.

I think I’d replace the beer with a flask (or two) of whiskey!

Wish I had some photos of a couple of crashes…Sure could’ve used this stuff some years back. All I can say is, CLEAN THOSE WOUNDS WELL no matter how bad it hurts. Four months after a crash, a piece of glass started poking through my elbow, along with a lot of dirt, pebbles, and other debris. Had to have it all surgically removed. Gee, that was fun all over again!

that is a great idea, but it may take more than 1 beer!

[...] At about mile 35 there is a bridge you will cross. The bridge has a metal floor and is slippery. Make sure you slow down and enter the bridge head on to avoid road rash other wise you may need our “road rash bike crash kit.” [...]
