PrestaFlator FREEBIE Write Up Giveaway
David Finlayson sent me cool product called PrestaFlator to giveaway to one of our lucky readers.
The PrestaFlator is a presta valve air compressor bicycle inflator. If you have an air compressor in your garage this product is for you. Also perfect for bike shops.
Comment on this post at a chance to win a FREE PrestaFlator. Please leave your name, city and state to be eligible to win. Ride-Strong will be selecting a winner on June 2, 2008.
Quality
Prestaflator is engineered specifically for the needs of bicycles and bicyclists. Only top quality materials are used for it’s
components. We start with a cast Aluminum body and give it a bead blasted finish. Next we use Brass, Aluminum, Chrome and Stainless Steel components for all connectors and moving parts. The industrial grade hose is rated for 300 PSI of continuous use.
Prestaflator’s unique variable-rate trigger plunger is long and narrow. This allows the user to more easily regulate very small amounts of air to reach the exact pressure desired in even the smallest racing tires.
The pressure gauge has a rubber shock housing and offers accuracy with +/- 2%. The dial has a bicycle-specific pressure range of 12 Bar/174 PSI. It’s high enough to inflate any daily-use tire, but not excessive so the gauge is easy to read.

I’ve yet to use floor pump that didn’t wear out. This looks like the perfect long term solution, and a good excuse to buy an air compressor.

I guess it will make life a bit easier. Especially with so many bikes. I can use the compressor at my fathers workshop.

The only reason I don’t have a compressor in the garage is because I couldn’t find a fitting like the Prestaflator to pump up my bike tires. If I win this baby there’ll be a compressor in my garage the next day. That should make the wife happy. This is a great tool.

My husband has a compressor, so this would be terrific! Sure would be quicker. Just last night I complained to him that the tires on my mountain bike were low, and he said, so pump them up. (this is the same guy who cooks for me!) I never know where that pump is….but the compressor doesn’t move!
Additionally, the nieces and nephews are always asking us to help take care of their bikes’ mechanical problems, incl. flat tires. This would be a real boon to us. I also like the fact that the gauge is easy to read, since I don’t wear those glasses…..

what a cool idea-will this work off of a compressed air travel tank also-so you fill it at a gas station and then keep the compressed air tank at home-in the car-whereever-and can use the inflator with that?
May 29th, 2008 at 9:31 am
