Grease Monkey Wipes – Don’t Be Afraid To Play Dirty!

grease monkey wipes

Erin and Tim the owners of Grease Monkey Wipes based out of Austin, TX  hooked Ride-Strong.com up with some of their Grease Monkey Wipes. It is a cool handy product that is easy to pack with you.

I have to say I am a clean freak and these wipes are great because they are individually package and easy to take with you or store in your saddle bag. The other good thing about the wipes is that they are more durable than your normal wipes so you can really scrub to get the dirt and grease off.

What are Grease Monkey Wipes?
Grease Monkey Wipes are individually packaged degreasing wipes for cyclists, motorcyclists, mechanics, motorists, boaters, triathletes and anyone who is not afraid to play dirty. Each pre-moistened wipe uses a citrus degreaser to handle heavy duty cleaning, including grease, grime, oil, road tar, permanent marker, adhesives and much more.

Where should Grease Monkey Wipes be used?
Grease Monkey Wipes are a portable cleaning solution that you can use where ever you get dirty. They effectively remove grease from skin. They are also perfect for using as a chain cleaner or removing body markings after a triathlon.

Where should I keep Grease Monkey Wipes?
Anywhere. Grease Monkey Wipes are durable and ready to use when you are. Each wipe comes in a 2.5 x 4 inch foil package that guarantees the wipe stays moist. Keep Grease Monkey Wipes in your saddle bag, jersey pocket, post-race bag, boat bag, backpack, camping gear, glove compartment, toolbox, tackle box, garage. Just rip open the top of the package and use where ever you play dirty.

Do Grease Monkey Wipes have a chemically smell?
Nope. Each wipe uses a non-toxic, citrus degreaser for cleaning and has a subtle citrus smell that is quite refreshing.

Do I need to use water with Grease Monkey Wipes?
Not at all. Grease Monkey Wipes are pre-moistened with a citrus degreaser formula. They clean quickly and do not leave a residue. Plus there is lanolin, vitamin E, and aloe vera in the formula to keep your skin baby soft.

What is the main cleaning agent of Grease Monkey Wipes?
The main cleaning agent is D-Limonene.

What is D-Limonene?
When pressing an orange for juice extraction, some orange oil is also expelled. This oil is commonly called D-Limonene and is 100% natural. Grease Monkey Wipes use D-Limonene to clean without the use of harsh chemicals or environmental unfriendly solvents.

Where are Grease Monkey Wipes made?
Grease Monkey Wipes are made in the United States. All product, packaging, promotional materials, etc. are made in the U.S. and nothing is from overseas.

Can Grease Monkey Wipes remove more than grease?
Certainly. Grease Monkey Wipes remove not only grease but also general filth and grime, oil, road tar, ink, permanent marker, glue and other adhesives, paint and much more. On our video page we have several examples of the wipes removing grease and much more.

How big are Grease Monkey Wipes?
Each 2.5 x 4 inch foil package contains one 8 x 7 inch degreasing wipe.

You mention that Grease Monkey Wipes are durable. How durable are they?
Very durable. One wipe can be used not only to clean grease, grime, marker, etc. off of your skin but can also be used to clean your entire bike including the chain.

I am not a cyclist, can I still use Grease Monkey Wipes?
Absolutely. We all get greasy and dirty from time to time, and due to the portable nature of the product, Grease Monkey Wipes can be easily kept in your glove compartment, toolbox, tackle box, backpack, boat bag, camping gear, garage, etc.

I am a cyclist. How do I use Grease Monkey Wipes?
We suggest you keep Grease Monkey Wipes in your saddle bag or jersey pocket just in case. You never know when you will have a mid-ride repair, whether that is fixing a flat tire or putting back on a dropped chain. With a Grease Monkey Wipes you no longer have to wipe your hands on your kit, shorts, jersey, shirt, bar tape, or riding partner.

Where can I purchase Grease Monkey Wipes?
Grease Monkey Wipes can be purchased from one of our retailers or from our store.

I have a monkey and he is greasy what should I do?
Well we are Grease Monkey Wipes…so if you have a greasy monkey first, pull out our wipe…on second thought maybe we should not answer this one.

I need ‘em ’cause I fix flats so often. It seems every time I do a ride over sixty miles or so I have something happen. Just pulled a nail out of my front tire today. Last time I had a complete blowout destroy my rear tire (luckily about four blocks from a bike shop). Fixing flats = dirty hands.

Now i can wear white bike shorts or any other light color for that matter. I only had black so I could wipe my greasy hands on them during my rides after a repairs.

Totally awesome idea! This was like a BFO to me.
I can’t wait to pop them into our team kits. (everyone except for me that is – life is so sad when you are allergic to aloe)

Perfect for my work & play! I am a lead helicopter mechanic in the Air Medical Division of the largest commercial helicopter company in the world, an avid cyclist and all around Mr. Goodwrench. These would be very useful in all of my activities. Would like to try it out. If they work well enough, it could be huge word of mouth advertizing for you in a major industry and with lots of mech. types.

I don’t like cleaning myself while I’m biking. It’s usualy a waste of time since I’ll usualy just get dirty again in couple minutes.

I love my Grease Monkey wipes. I never ride without a banana and my GMW. Prior to discovering GMW, I had to scrub the skin of my bananas the old fashioned way. Now I simply whip out my banana and my handy GMW, and I’m good to go. I also find that GMW makes my banana taste better. Here’s a tip, I don’t throw away the GMW after scrubbing my banana – I put it back in its handy pouch and use it to clean my bike at the end of every ride. I have the cleanest bananas and bike in the peloton.
