FREE MUSCLETRAC Write Up Giveaway

muscletrac

Comment on this post at a chance to win a MUSCLETRAC.

I have been using TheStick for years and was recently turned on to the MUSCLETRAC. I have to say there is no comparison. The MUSCLETRAC works much better than TheStick. It really moves the muscle around rather than just rolling the muscle out like TheStick does.

I was reading Triathlete Magazine and saw the MUSCLETRAC featured in the magazine and emailed Dr. David Fitzmaurice about his new and upcoming message therapy tool. He gave me a MUSCLETRAC to try out and one to give away to a lucky reading. I have been using it and I have to say it is awesome!

Some of the many benefits of the MuscleTrac are:

  • Injury prevention
  • Injury recovery
  • Recovery
  • Warm up muscles
  • Disperse lactic acid build up in the muscles
  • Message
  • Can take anywhere

So check out the website at www.muscletrac.com and order one for yourself.

We will be giving away a FREE MUSCLETRAC to a lucky reader. Comment on the post at your chance at winning a MUSCLETRAC. Leave your full name, city and state for your chance to win.

I would love to try out the muscletrac to see how well it breaks up lactic acid buildups. I would be just as happy to win a gorgeous Swedish masseus. Either way my muscles would probably be better off.

In lieu of a routine but unaffordable calf / quad / ham massage after zipping around our wonderful tucson area bike routes with the gang, this device looks like the perfect supplement to pre and post ride stretching. The website is very informative as well.

I have been using the MuscleTrac for about a year now and know Dr. Fitzmaurice personally. The MuscleTrac is an exceptional tool for breaking up knots, flushing out lactic acid and warming up muscles before training. Dr. Fitzmaurice has put all of his knowledge of athletic injury prevention and injury recovery into designing the MuscleTrac and sought feedback from cyclists in its development. Give it a try, you will be impressed.

This looks like a great tool, and much more portable than a foam roller!

This looks like a great alternative for those that can’t afford a professional massage. I would definitely be able to make good use of this!

I am mildly skeptical having never used anything like that. I perused their site a bit to try and understand it more. They show people using it on themselves, which is probably ok on the legs where you can apply pressure with both arms. But, then they show people rubbing their arms with it and I just don’t see that happening. The general theory here is, press and rub to break up knots and disperse lactic acid build up in the muscles? One handed operation to me would lack sufficient force/leverage to do that IMO. Though the arms are probably not the focus area for this, at least not on this board :-)
Still, I am curious. After a good ride or run I am willing to try anything. I wish I had a hot tub at home, or a sauna. Sigh….

I saw a ton of future NFL draft picks using “the stick” on TV a few days ago. Probably as a promotion. I’ve used it too but this looks much better. Since I can’t afford one right now, maybe a free one will be coming my way!

I don’t see how the muscletrac would work any better than the stick. I have used the stick for years and I have never had a problem with it.
I guess if I win I’ll have to give it a try and comment on which is better.

I currently use “The Stick.” It has served me well. It can be somewhat uncomfortable if you are very sore. I am curious if this would work even better where it is not just a smooth roller.

I’m currently using the TP massage kit and a rolling pin to work out the kinks… would be interesting to see how this compares.

Although it would be nice… I have no time for professional massages right now. But I could certainly use the MuscleTrac… especially after a ride like this: http://blogs.wncn.info/thedailydraft/2008/05/12/no-sun-at-this-beech-but-what-a-climb/

I have heard really great things about these as a great way to massage your muscles after a long ride – the more I ride, the tighter my muscles are getting so I would love to try one out!

From a current muscletrac user to all current users of the stick, or a roller. If you say you’ve been using the stick for years and have never had a problem. To me that means you’ve never lost a race. Thats awesome. Maybe you’ve never been more fatigue than the guy next you.

Let me share with you something I have learned:

we’ll use an analogy.

say your a firm believer in honda. They’re great cars, super reliable and “never give you any problems” well, see theirs still a problem with that. Ferraris exist. Or a lamborghini.Their is always something out their that will out perform, something better. more time, money, experience and engineering went into it. It’s a feeling you notice and their is definite reason for it. This world is always finding better. We know much more now than we did years ago (when the stick was invented). Re-inventing the wheel has been done over and over again.

For example “google the word [twheel]”

Lets get back to the point. The muscletrac. When and if you learn about how a muscle is designed and how it works you will know that running over it with a rolling pin doesn’t do much. But if you look at the design of the wheels on the muscletrac you will know that it will definitely penetrate the muscle and work out the knots. The knots that help cause the lactic buildup in the first place. While doing that it also flushes the lactic acid instead of just moving it past the knots to give you TEMPORARY relief. With a little research I knew before I even got my muscletrac that it would work better. When you get yours just remember this; “work as hard on your muscles as you want them to work for you”

I’ve been having persistent craping in my right calf. Spa and massages haven’t helped. Would be happy to give it a shot.

Any Saturday group rides in the Cave Creek area??

Turning 60, riding 150 to 200 per week so the Muscaltrac seems to be a necessity to keep the ole’ man peddling!
