Looks like a great idea, you’d be able to listen to music in a group and still talk without having to take out your ear buds.

Yeah, it’ll work well on the country roads where we take our club rides.

Thank you for showing this I had heard about it on the Fredcast Podcast last year and forgot about it.

However it solves a big problem for me as some of my local rides are no longer allowing trailers in the rides and my club’s sound system is in a trailer, and on the roads of Texas you can not afford to ride with even one headphone bud.

I’d be playing Reel Big Fish while riding my Serotta because it’s fun and it’s fast.

My iPod also contains The Who, Ramones, Misfits, Brian Setzer Orch, Aquabats, Alan Parsons, Bowling for Soup, Jethro Tull, The Hooters, Michael Franti, OK Go, Patricia Barber, Smiths and Talking Heads. Sort of a boring-suburban-dad-who-thinks-he’s-keeping-up mix.

I want it! The music in my head often runs out before I crest some of these big hills around San Francisco. Certainly a better solution than the boom boxes lashed to cruiser frames like the little old Puerto Rican men do in New York.

Hope everyone within hearing will like my music choices!

Let me first introduce myself, my name is Tron and I have been working with Del on the system for about three years now. Actually I build, play and test every single unit that sent out.

Well, I see there are a few people asking about storage. Lets see if I can supply a good answer.

There is some room in the back of the bag where the batteries go. I have fit a tube and levers in there, there is also a small pouch, for ID, money, credit cards. Another option is if you use the optional cable and put your player up front, that leaves the player location open to put a few small items.

We have several different mounting options available from under the seat to the entire unit mounted up front on your bars. Please check out our site for ideas, http://www.cyclesound.net

Thanks,
Tron

Great idea !

I’m tired of fooling around with those ear buds when I ride, or having the volume too high to compensate for wind noise.

This thing is just what the doctor ordered.

I have always wondered why someone would pay $5000 or more for a bike, but not spend an extra $10.00 for some lube. Now I don’t have to wonder anymore. I’ll just put on my headphones and ride along with all the noisy drivetrains next to me.

@IllinoisFrank I had to do a Google search on those as I had not heard of those, but after looking into them, I don’t see why not.

The CycleSound uses a standard 3.5mm jack, so as long as you remember to unplug it before you get off your bike, sure.
