Riding our bikes on the road can be very dangerous and even fatal at times. As cyclist, we need to ride defensively and anticipate what cars around us will do. Many times cars don’t even see us because they are not looking for us.

I would have seen the moon walking bear, but I was drinking coffee and talking on my cell phone at the time…

Okay, I was too busy counting the passes.
Besides, I’ve had a fear of bears for a long, long time. I never thought it was a fear I’d really have to deal with–but bears have been showing up in all sorts of populated areas in this state the past few years.
In truth, I’m really tired and was about to hit the hay when I stopped to check the emails…& watched the “test”….should’ve done it when I was more awake.

Bottom Line in Cycling Safely: Drivers aren’t looking for you. Drivers think you have no right to your piece of the road. Drivers don’t know what to do when they approach a cyclist. BE CAREFUL; RIDE DEFENSIVELY. IT’S YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE!
note to all the courteous drivers I’ve encounterd: THANK YOU.
